Are you already having trouble finding the perfect business gift for your clients, employees, and business partners? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one! It’s the time right before the start of holiday season that’s the most stressful when it comes to choosing gifts – even more so if you’re trying to express your gratitude for your colleagues’ hard work and trust throughout the entire year, especially a year like 2020. This year, holiday shopping is different – we’re stuck inside, with only our computers being there to help us find and buy the things on our shopping list. We need to trust our gut feeling that what we’re getting is what is going to bring a smile on our friends’ faces.

But look on the bright side – at least you’re not queuing in long lines and bumping into people trying to get to the next store. All you have to pay attention to is ordering the gifts soon enough, so they arrive on time, and make sure they arrive at the right address. And, lucky for you, we’ve got the gift-picking covered! We went through some of the trends from previous years in order to come up with a basic gift guide with which you’ll learn how to spice up this year’s holiday season.

Something Practical

There’s nothing better than a gift that doesn’t just collect dust on a shelf, but is rather actually useful. Keep this in mind when looking through loads and loads of products posted online – a big number of them will very likely end up hidden in a drawer and be forgotten about. You wouldn’t want that, now would you?

Consider the current situation – what would your colleagues find useful while stuck at home? While working in an office is definitely hard at times, it can’t compare to the hardships of working from home. Especially if you live with roommates or young children, who are bound to be a distraction! Such colleagues would definitely benefit from tuning out the noise with a pair of quality headphones, for example. Your co-workers will appreciate you putting thought into their gifts, and making their work day at least a little bit easier.

Something Innovative

It’s time to think outside the box – after many years of receiving business gifts, your employees and business partners have probably come across every single gift idea in the universe. And while receiving one is always nice, it’s the ones that take your breath away at first glance that people remember. You could also consider getting them something unique. While not necessarily innovative, a unique gift that hasn’t been done a million times before is perhaps exactly what your colleagues need – a perfect combination of innovative and personal.

The issue is, whenever an innovative and original product hits the stores, different companies tend to subtly copy its concept and sell it as their own, which end up flooding the marker. This completely beats the purpose of it being an innovation, and makes it harder to find a product that is. So, where is innovation? In our opinion, it’s easiest to find it among sustainable products, which many companies consider to be the future.

Something Personal

At the end of the day, the best gifts are the ones we put our heart into. So, if you only have a handful of people to surprise this holiday season, you could base their presents on their personal interests, hobbies, an inside joke, something that’ll remind both of you of the time you’ve spent together, or anything else you can come up with.

However, remember that personal gifts require a lot of effort, meaning that coming up with personalized ideas for a bigger number of recipients might take up too much time, and in addition, you might not even know everyone well enough.

The way to get around this is by getting everyone a gift that falls under one of the two categories above, but also personalizing the products with the name of each colleague! If doing this stresses you out, let us help you with our new service Personally Connected – all you have to do is pick the gifts, and we’ll take care of the personalization, wrapping, and shipping!

While business gifts are certainly not necessary, they are always greatly appreciated. After all, your employees, clients, and business partners feel your gratitude whenever you go the extra mile to surprise them – it’s even more special if you do so around Christmas time, because it makes them feel like a part of your family.
