Think back to the years when you went shopping for Christmas gifts – did you make your way to the mall just before the holidays or at least a good month before? You’ve probably most often opted for the latter option to avoid the huge number of people who have a habit of buying Christmas presents just before the big day, right? Well, ordering promotional and business gifts works on the same principle – to avoid crowds, so to speak, Christmas promotional gifts need to be ordered quite early. Of course, there are a huge number of other reasons for this, but let’s focus on just one at a time. It is important to understand the risks that come with reckless orders before buying.
While designing gifts is one thing, ordering them is something completely different. It requires a lot of thought and timely action. It happens to many that they overestimate the time they have available, which in turn leads to a difficult solution to the situation in which we find ourselves. So, here are some tips on how to deal with the stressful gift-giving season and make sure each of your employees and business partners get what they rightfully deserve.
Although promotional and business gifts are mass-produced, this does not mean that stocks last indefinitely. Of course, the supplier can allow you to re-produce the products, but don’t rely on that – you never know what the production time will be.
For the same reason, don’t just order a portion of gifts for your employees and business partners. Imagine, for example, that you don’t receive the other half of the products on time! In such a case, you are left with only two options: you can either surprise only half of your colleagues and risk resentment from those who were not gifted, or you simply do not give gifts to anyone and risk resentment from just about every individual. So with poor planning, the outcome is quite negative – not only in terms of the emotions of your colleagues, but it’s also a waste of money!
Of course, when ordering gifts, we must not forget about personalization, which actually exists on two levels – in the first level, the products are branded only with the logo and name of your company. This is the most standard or basic way of branding, which is used by most entrepreneurs.
The second method, in addition to the logo, often includes the name of the gift recipient. You can probably see for yourself that this way of personalization requires more time, as it is extremely important to pay attention to every detail when branding individual products. You would certainly be very embarrassed if the name of any of your employees was misspelled, or if someone received a product with the wrong name. This is just one of the little things you need to pay attention to when buying business gifts – of course, your supplier also has a lot of responsibility, but it is up to you to check the condition and quality of the products before delivering them to your colleagues.
The last and perhaps even the most important step in ordering business and promotional gifts is home delivery itself. Since most suppliers do not allow it, you need to arrange the delivery yourself. This, of course, causes a lot of stress, especially as the holidays approach. You never know if everything will work out on time.
