Sometimes choosing the right promotional gifts involves a whole bunch of thinking, especially when we want to surprise our clients, employees or business partners with something unique. This is why it’s important to think outside the box, factoring in everything that might help us stand out in our industry. And in our case, there’s no better way to stand out than make your promotional gifts reflect your company at its core. So, how do you do that?
All you have to do is make a list of items that represent what your brand is all about, since that’s what lies at the heart of promotion. To help you get started, we’ve compiled a list of ideas for promotional gifts in specific industries – but because there’s a bunch out there, we’ve narrowed it down to the seven most common ones. When doing business with you, your clients want to feel safe and protected, especially when it comes to their money. This is why you should invest in RFID wallets and card holders to give out, as they prevent petty theft crimes. In the same way, a piggy bank is a very traditional yet effective way of keeping your savings somewhere safe in case you need to use them on a rainy day.
But since a lot goes into dealing with finances, your clients would probably be also excited about receiving a calculator to help them when mapping out their bills, or a portfolio accompanied with some stationery to keep all of their most important documents in.
Gym memberships are expensive, and so is sports equipment, which is why every gym junkie is thrilled when they receive anything they can take to their workout – even if it is just a towel with their name on it! Of course, there’s a bunch of other gifts to consider, such as a sports bag to hold all of their equipment, water bottle to keep them hydrated, or even a fit watch to help them keep track of their progress.
When it comes to actual sports equipment, it’s better to not choose anything too out of the ordinary. So, unless you’re at a golf lovers’ convention, avoid giving out golf tees as most people won’t have a use for it. Better choices would include balls, jump ropes, exercise bands, badminton sets, and others.
The food industry is one where you can go completely overboard – surprise conference goers with delicious finger food and other snacks, but also have them take home a bottle of wine (and don’t forget to add a corkscrew). Inspire them to prepare some food themselves by giving them a personalised apron and kitchen utensils.
In the colder months, surprise them with tea and coasters, or wait until the weather gets warmer to put together a goodie bag consisting of a lunch box, blender, reusable straws, and bottle openers!
It’s easy to get the party started with the right equipment! Pick out the best pair of headphones on the market or opt for a loud speaker that will let everyone know what time it is. For summer events, giving out sunglasses is a safe bet, and the same goes for tumblers that will keep people’s drinks nice and cold. On the other hand, you could always give out shot glasses with unique designs!
But if big events that require wristbands are not your thing, you could provide entertainment in a quieter way – board games have always been a crowd favourite, as they bring together friends and family, and there’s plenty to choose from!
Being conscious of our effect on the environment is seriously important, and there’s no better way of sharing your care for our planet than by giving out eco friendly products. This means you should surprise your clients and employees with gifts made from recycled materials, sustainable bags, or wish them happy holidays with greeting cards made from seeds that they can plant.
While on the topic of gardening, you could also inspire them to start their own little contribution to helping the planet by surprising them with a set of garden tools, plant sprouts, or even a personalised pencil that you can plant!
In the past year, health has become a top priority for most of us, which had the healthcare industry booming. However, this doesn’t mean that people’s preventative habits will die out, which is why now is the perfect time to surprise your clients with what they might need the most. Gifts such as hand sanitiser, face masks, and gloves are perfect for the current situation.
However, a bamboo toothbrush and lip balm are something everyone uses on the daily, which is why they make the perfect gift as well. Sunscreen is ideal in the summer months, while and ice pack can be used all year round to treat bruises.
This is an easy one – if you’re a travelling agency, for example, you could do giveaways where your clients win suitcases to take with them on the next trip they book with you! Of course, there’s a bunch of ways to go about this – you could also give out backpacks for the more outdoorsy ones, or surprise them with a travel pillow if they prefer the comfort of public transportation. Don’t forget to add a luggage scale, too!
There’s also adapters and power banks that you can personalise with your company’s logo – best part of giving out travel related gifts is that your brand’s name will be seen all over the world! In addition, consider choosing RFID equipped gifts to help your clients feel safer when abroad.
